Over the course of the last century, the Melbourne Regional Chamber has been instrumental in bringing top employers and growing industries to the Space Coast, including Harris Corporation, now L3Harris, in 1973. The chamber was a driving force in transforming Patrick Air Force Base after the end of the Apollo era. The consolidation of the towns of Eau Gallie and Melbourne, the construction of downtown Melbourne, the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts, and countless other community development initiatives all can be credited to the work of the Melbourne Regional Chamber.
