Jazz Vocalist Maddy Winer will be performing with Larry Brown on the keyboard.

Over the past three decades, Maddy Winer has enthralled audiences with her inimitable, recognizable voice. Maddy attributes her successes to her love of the Great American Songbook, jazz standards, and the pop music of her youth.

Born in New York City, Maddy grew up surrounded by her large Italian family. Her parents had weekly family gatherings featuring a feast of food and non-stop music. At the age of three she performed at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City. Once she experienced the thrill of stage performance it became her lifelong passion.

After graduating college Maddy performed contemporary pop music but always managed to incorporate selections from the American Popular Songbook, honoring the fond memories of her youth. As time passed, she became known for her effortless interpretation and jazz styling of the American Popular Songbook and developed a loyal following.

Pianist Larry Brown leads one of the most accomplished straight-ahead jazz groups in the Mid-Atlantic area, The Larry Brown quintet. They have performed at An Die Musik, Blues Alley, the Meyerhoff, the Kennedy Center, the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival, East Coast Jazz Festival, Baltimore-Washington Jazz Fest, Alexandria Jazz Festival, Twins Jazz, Bohemian Caverns, the King Of France Tavern, Montpelier Arts Center, Chris Caf, the New Haven Lounge, Caton Castle, the Wine Cellar, Strathmore Mansion, and the Black Rock Center for the Arts.
